Fes Desert Trip

Fes desert trip 4 days: this is the perfect itinerary for those with limited time and a desire to learn about the history of Fes Medina. Escape to the wonderful Sahara desert, which includes camel riding, is also a great adventure where you enjoy the old Medina of Fes with its Souks, history, culture, and then you live the experience of visiting the charming and magical Sahara desert with its beautiful Sand dunes, Stars, camels, and friendly people.

Day 1: Airport – Accommodation in Fes

Depending on the arrival time of your flight, your Fes Desert Trip will start with a guided tour of Fes. The oldest imperial city in Morocco, founded in the 8th century by Moulay Idriss II.
 

Day 2: Fes-Middle Atlas-Erg Chebbi Desert

After breakfast, we start our Fes Desert Trip towards Ifrane, through hills covered in forests of cork oak and giant cedar, home of a few Barbary apes. Crossing the Middle Atlas with its beautiful mountains we will catch a first glimpse of the South-Est incredible architecture. Lunch in the Midelt (the city of apple). In the afternoon we will drive to Erfoud and into the desert. You will change the 4WD car to the 8WD camel and enjoy a nice ride through the beautiful Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes, where you will spend the evening in a comfortable desert camp. The night is a great opportunity to enjoy the magical starry sky after been entertained by the music of the Berber drums.
 

Day 3: Desert-Ziz valley-Ifran-Fes

We wake up to admire the beautiful sunrise in the Sahara desert and feel the desert breeze. After breakfast, we start our journey back to Fes visiting the Ziz valley, a huge oasis containing over five million palm trees, edged by many Ksours (fortified villages). Lunch in Midelt and then we drive to Ifran (Moroccan Switzerland) where we take a break, also take some pictures. We arrive in Fes at sunset time.
 

Day 4: Guided visit of Fes-End of service

If your flight is not in the morning, we start our guided tour of Fes at 8/9 am with an official guide to discover the UNESCO-protected old Medina. The best way to explore a city that has up to 9,000 roads and alleyways is with an expert. The old Medina of Fes is declared a World Heritage of Humanity in 1981 and is considered the oldest and most beautiful in Morocco. The doors lead us to a tangle of narrow streets and alleyways around the mosque Karaouine. Its university is the oldest in the world. After walking inside the Medina we take the car and drive outside the Medina to explore the unique seven doors of Fez, Royal Palace, then the Andalusian architecture in the Jewish quarter, then our next step will be in the old fort to admire the Panoramic view of the 9400 street of the Medina, visit the pottery and tiles factor. Thus, we transfer you to the airport, train station or your accommodation if you still have time in Fes. End of our 4 days Fes Desert Trip.
