Pick up at the airport and transfer to the Riad. Rest of the day to relax and explore the main square Jemaa el Fna and the souks. Dinner and accommodation at the riad:
We will pick you up at 9am. We will start with the visit of the famous Majorelle gardens. The garden was built in the 1920s by the French painter Jacques Majorelle, with marble pools, elevated paths, banana trees, bamboo forests, coconut trees and bougainvillea. After years of neglect, fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Berge took and restored the garden. Visit to the Bahia Palace, a refuge of shaded patios and blue mosaic walls built by Ahmed Ben Moussa. The palace also includes beautiful rooms for his 4 wives and 24 concubines. We leave Marrakech and begin to enjoy the beautiful views of the high Atlas mountains, we stop on the way to take pictures, at the entrance of the city Ouarzazate we will visit the film studios before checking into our accommodation. Night in a hotel/riad with private shower/bathroom.
Departure in the morning from your accommodation, for the route of the Thousand Kasbahs and the Desert, cross the palm grove of Skoura to reach the Kasbah Amredil, then continue to the valley of Roses and Dades, stop to take photos and continue to the Todra Gorges, free time to visit the gorges and walk along the river. After lunch, we will drive through the palm groves of Tinjdad and Touroug, visit the production of marble and fossils in Erfoud (Optional). Continuing along a surprising route that marks the transition to the desert, when we reach the incredible dunes of Erg Chebbi to enjoy our adventure with camels, watch the sunset and night in an equipped camp with drum music in the middle of the Sahara . This is a great opportunity to take beautiful pictures of sunset and sunrise. Night in a very nice camp with private shower/bath.
Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise in the Sahara desert and enjoy an excellent breakfast. After these beautiful moments, you will return by camel to the meeting point with the driver and then we will go to a traditional house to listen to the music of Gnaoua (Oreginal From Sudan) which has a strong link with the religion and spirituality of the Gnaouas. It is played during religious ceremonies and cultural celebrations, just as it was centuries ago. The instruments include the Ganga (large drum), the Tangagat (small drum), the Iquarquachins (small castanets) and the Hajhouj (a 3-string instrument with low tones). We will visit some desert mines, Berber nomads and the oasis of palm trees. Half-day meal in some restaurant, after finishing our excursion in the desert we return to our accommodation in Merzouga, free time to enjoy the sand dunes, the sunset or enjoy the hotel. Night in a very nice hotel with private shower/bathroom.
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Errachidia via Erfoud, Aoufous and the Ziz Valley, where we stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the oasis. Continue to Midelt through the Tizi N’talghamt pass and lunch at Midelt (city of apples). After lunch we will head to Fez through the cedar forest near Azrou and the mountain of the Middle Atlas with the possibility to see the monkeys and take pictures. You can stop at Ifrane (Morocco’s Switzerland) before arriving in Fez. Night in the riad:
At 9 am, we begin our guided tour with an official guide to explore the Medina of Fez, protected by UNESCO. Fez has up to 9,000 roads and alleys and the best way to explore it is with an expert. The Medina of Fez is the oldest and most beautiful in Morocco, almost unchanged since the Middle Ages and declared a World Heritage Site in 1981. The doors lead to a tangle of narrow streets and alleyways around the Karaouine Mosque. Its university is the oldest in the world. Visit to the neighborhood of the tanners.
After walking inside the Medina, we took the car and drove out of the Medina to explore the only seven gates of Fez, the Royal Palace and then the Andalusian architecture in the Jewish quarter, then our next step will be in the old fortress to admire the panoramic view of the 9400 streets of the medina, visit the ceramic and tile factory.
