Some places to see while doing our 7 Days Morocco Tour from Tangier
Thousands Kasbah Road
The Road of a Thousand Kasbahs is a beautiful drive across the Dades Valley between the Atlas Mountains and the Anti-Atlas mountain range, passing through stunning desert scenery, villages, and palm plantations. The drive is breathtaking, with hundreds of Kasbahs flanking the highway and snaking through gorgeous desert vistas, villages, palm groves, and the huge lunar-scape of Jebel Sarhro to the south.
The tourist route is mostly asphalted, and it offers a diverse and stunning landscape of kasbahs. The route provides a thrilling driving experience with breathtaking scenery. These magnificent Berber art monuments are the only ones in the world. This is definitely a road journey worth documenting with images. More than a thousand of these monuments are intertwined with the path. Most visitors to the area, however, only see a half-dozen of them, the most well-known, the ones that are included in all of the brochures. In this usage, Kasbah refers to a fortification. There are undoubtedly many of these structures. They are typically built by a local chieftain to secure his territory as well as to show off his wealth. High, windowless walls and crenellated towers are common features. Make sure you have your camera with you! The dramatic mountain scenery contrasts with the softer green of the lush valley floor, which is surrounded and defended by mudbrick walls and fortifications.
Rif Mountains
The Rif, commonly known as the Rif Mountains, is a geographical region in northern Morocco. This rugged and rich region is bounded on the west by Cape Spartel and Tangier, on the east by Berkane and the Moulouya River, on the north by the Mediterranean, and on the south by the Ouergha River.
